Cirkvenica is located in the Adriatic Sea, about 7 miles from Rijeka and 50 miles from Pula, neighboring the small towns of Selce, Dramaj and Jadranovo. It is easy to get here as there is an airport nearby on the island of Krk, the port of Rijeka that provides passenger ferries and there are also good road connections with other major cities in Europe. All these advantages helped Cirkvenica develop fast as a tourist destination with experience in tourism for over 100 years. Tourism in this town dates from the 19th century when baths were opened to the public and the first hotels were built.
Crickvenica stretches for a few km and the beach varies from rocky to sandy. The mountains are in the background rising 300 m above sea level.
