Shopping should not be missed when you’re in Zuhai. The best district in the city for shopping is the district of Gongbei near the border of Macau. Almost everything here is very affordable but do watch out for imitations.
For your safety, always beware of pickpockets. If you have dollars or other currency that needs to be converted, convert them in major districts in the city instead of the underground malls. You might end up with fake money. But aside from these things, all other petty crimes seem minimal so you can definitely have a pleasurable stay.
