Zhengzhou, China does have a nightlife, but you need to know where to look to find it. The city is a unique mix of cultures and history. Consider some of these places to liven up your night
The Cless Club is a favorite of the locals. It’s located on Wenhua lu and features karaoke and a large dance floor. The food is decent and the service it good, but few speak English.
The Wei Yi Lu area is home to a wide array of bars, night clubs, and restaurants. If you wander down this street, you’re sure to find a place you can call your own.
Jing San Lu, which is a bar located on the third floor of a beautiful house, can be a nice time, especially on the weekend. The crowd is often young, but the prices are inexpensive.
If you want a snack, try any of the little fried chicken huts around town. The food is cheap and usually good if it is fresh. The chicken sandwiches tend to be a little soggy and are made of Chinese sweet bread.
Several of the restaurants in Zhengzhou offer noodles with mutton. It is a common favorite among the locals and is a part of the culture of the city. Most restaurants will serve some variation of this dish.
One cool site to see is the Ergi Ta. This pagoda is dedicated to the memory of the workers who died in recent wars. It’s not far from downtown and is quite impressive in stature and style.
You’ll find quite a lot to do in Zhengzhou, whether it is during the day or at night. Ask your hotel front desk clerk for the best recommendations. It’s always best to speak with a local before heading out without any plan of what to see.
