Shantou Nightlife, China

Shantou, China has a great deal to offer to the tourist or visitor as far as nightlife. Some of the best nightclubs and bars are located near the Golden Gulf hotel, but you can really find some out of the way places too by asking around.

Sunglow is a great pub for live music and a game of pool. There is a great many of these types of clubs in Shantou. Manhattan has a large, hopping dance floor and loud music. For a Chinese disco feel, try the Mp3.

For some very upbeat music, including R and B and trance, try out La Bar. It is located opposite of the Golden Gulf Hotel. There is also a side lounge that has internet access.

If you want a great glass of wine, consider the Aussino Wine Bar. It can be found on Changping Lu, and has great selection of wines, cheeses and other snacks.

For an outstanding cup of coffee, try the Bread Diary. The prices are very reasonable and the cups are huge. There are two of these coffee shops located in the city. Many of the coffee shops also offer sandwiches, pizza, and pastas.

For restaurants, check out La Café. This great little restaurant has some of the best spinach rice with salmon. The pricing is very reasonable and the serving more than enough.

For vegetarians, try the Vegetarian Restaurant, located on Hai Bin Lu. This is a safe resort to some of the other restaurants that may cook with animal fat. The restaurant closes early and the pricing is very reasonable.

There are many sights to see in this great city. You can lose yourself shopping or in one of the many cultural and historical locations. Take the time to experience everything the city has to offer. You’ll be glad you did.
