Chongqing Nightlife, China

Chongqing’s animated nightlife is no different from that of China’s other booming metropolises.  As the sun sets, it also marks the start of a whole night of entertainment for the people in Chongqing.

Just like any other place in the world, Chongqing also offers a wide variety of entertainment.  It prides itself of having numerous bars, dance clubs, movie theaters that will lighten up the city’s nightlife from sunset to sunrise.   Well then, why don’t you try some of these nighttime offerings and experience Chongqing’s great nightlife.

It’s always good to start your night out with a healthy meal.  Have a sumptuous dinner by tasting its dishes - with local Chongqing flavors.  You’ll be able to taste its local traditional food in numerous hot pot restaurants and sidewalk stands when nightfall comes.  Each of these restaurants are beautifully lit and decorated to suit your ambience and mood.

Right after a supple dinner, have leisurely walks along the streets of Chongqing  which are well known for their nighttime view.  If you want to have a bird’s eye view of the whole city, get up to the top of South Mountain.  It will be worth your climb upon seeing the entire city at night.  You’ll also get a view of its two rivers where all the lights give color to the whole city.  Get away from the city’s busy scene by taking a cruise aboard a ship to view the city’s night views. 

If you are looking for some fun and entertainment, go watch a movie at the Chongqing Studio City Cinema.  Sit down and relax to Chongqing’s wide array of bars, cafes and pubs.  One of the most-visited places is the Nan Bin Road.  It’s not hard to find - simply look for dazzling neon lights and you’re there. 

Some of the bars found in this area are the Real Love Bar, very popular for white collar hang-outs.  Enjoy a unique bar experience at the Soho Bar too.  One thing that sets the other bars aside is the way they call the attention of the waiters - simply wave the candle on the table and the waiters will come to you immediately! 

Making friends in Chongqing is not hard.  The people living in this city are very friendly and hospitable.  Even hanging out at night will get you new friends and acquaintances.  No amount of happiness will describe your stay in Chongqing if you don’t get to spend it with a worthy companion.
