Hunan is a province located somewhere in the South Central part of China and the city of Changsha happens to be the capital city of this province. Mostly, the cities of China are considered to be prefecture level cities but the city of Changsha hasn’t been tagged as a prefecture level city. The administrative government of Changsha has control of the city Liuyang, 3 different counties (namely Ningxiang, Wangcheng, and Changsha), and five different counties (namely Yuhua, Yuelu, Furong, Kaifu, and Tianxin).
The city of Changsha isn’t flat land. Many mountains are part of the city plus many terrains are also found in the city of Changsha. The presence of mountains and various water bodies keeps bringing in fresh breeze for the city of Changsha which helps the surroundings to remain cool enough for the locals. The minimum temperature can go down to 5 degree Celsius somewhere in the month of January while the maximum temperature can touch the heights of 29 degree Celsius somewhere in the month of July.
As the city of Changsha is not that close to the equator, it enjoys four different climates. The winter season is not that cold. Not even rain hits the city during this season. During springs the temperature starts to rise but still it is bearable when compared to summers. Rainy season brings in considerable rainfall for the city of Changsha. The summer season brings in hot air but good amount of rainfall. The recent global warming has hit the city of Changsha too and hence the different seasons of the city have changed their time periods as it has happened in other cities
The city of Changsha is an important center in terms of economical growth of People’s Republic of China. The city of Changsha has lately become the center for railways and many cities connect to each other via this railway station itself. This transport facility has helped the economy of Changsha to grow exponentially.
Major niches in which the industrial region of Changsha excels are timber, cotton, rice, livestock, oil extraction, tobacco cleaning, meat processing, and tea gathering. The city of Changsha also has a huge thermal plant which distributes power to many neighboring cities of China.
