A Wonderful City called Ribeirao Preto 

Ribeirao Preto is one of the great places to visit. The hot climate will definitely make your trip to the city enjoyable. The first destination for your trip should be Park Curupira where you will experience fresh, pure and very “green” air.  This is the biggest area for taking time off from work and just relaxing and spending time with your loved ones. Artificial waterfalls and lakes are made for relaxation.

Municipal Forest Fabio Barreto is another place that is so good to go to. This is situated in the Japanese Garden where you have bridges and lakes, flowers and kiosks and hundreds of Japanese ornamental plants which were planted by the Japanese. Behind a garden is a Mirante that could give you the sight of the beautiful city.

One thing you shouldn’t miss is the Project Coffee of the Morning every Sunday. People will have coffee between 10am-11 am to the sound of chorinho, which is the type of Brazilian music.

The beautiful garden of the Botanical Park of the Historical Museum and the Museum of Coffee serves as the scene or the background. After this, you may visit the Museum of the Coffee Francisco Schmidt to know the impacts of coffee in Ribeira Preto, the history of the city and coffee. This museum also exposes the rare but detailed information on the ascension and fall of barons.

Museum of Art of Ribeira Preto, also known as the MARP, has a wide variety of works of art. The SARP or the Hall of Art of Ribeira Preto is open only in the months of June, July and August when works of art from the region are presented thus drawing the artists and purchasers’ attention.

 At the end of the week,  Square of the Flags, Fair of Arte and Artesanato are places that you would like to visit.  Objects made of ceramics, leather, wood, straw, porcelains, metals, weaving are exhibited by more than 150 craftsmen.

  In the afternoon, you may also want to visit the traditional Sao Paulo Block which has excellent old buildings. In the evenings, more than 400 nards open for people who want to continue to relax and unwind.

Ribeirao Preto is really a wonderful place to go to but what makes it more wonderful is the hospitality, traditions and customs of the people in this city.
