Innsbruck, Nightlife- General Overview
This Austrian city close to Munich has something to offer to each type of person after the sun goes down. Whether you enjoy chatting in front of a fist class martini, having fun while dancing, or gambling, Innsbruck has the specific clubs, pubs and cafes for your taste. Let`s see which are the best nightlife locations in the Tyrolean urban center.
Innsbruck Nightlife-Clubs
One of the best places, with inexpensive fine drinks and good food is the Café-Club Filou. The facility has a capacious dance floor, with balconies on the sides. Another great place for dancing and dining, is Treibhaus, which is a hip place where all ages gather to listen and dance to jazz music. Get ready to relax here after a full day.
Blue Chip Club is a place especially for students, but it is recommended to arrive early at the location if you want to grab a seat.
Prometheus is another club, which has two floors, providing two very different atmospheres. The top one is rather a café, with relaxing chill out music playing in the background, while downstairs you will find the disco, with cool punk and rock music.
Limerick Bill`s is another great place for parties, with bands playing live on Fridays and Saturdays.
Innsbruck Nightlife-Pubs and Bars
An important feature of Innsbruck`s nightlife are the unique bars an pubs, many of them having life music playing in the background. A very hip bar is Krahvogel, with much appreciated live music. Also, an outstanding place to sip a coup of coffee or have a drink is Segafredo Sky, which gives you the opportunity to see Innsbruck from the top.
But the most appreciated bar on the list of Innsbruck nightlife spots is the Roof Top Wine Bar 360, where you can see the city and the mountains that surrounds it, while having a good wine. Weli is a different bar with fun atmosphere. You should check out Innkeller and Bistro Vinotheck Dr. Fischer too, these being two other appreciated bars.
Innsbruck Nightlife-Cafés and Casinos
Austria`s pride are also the wonderful cafés. The Piano Café bar is another bar which provides an intellectual and relaxed atmosphere. It has antique paintings all over the walls and the furniture is vintage as well.
Cafe Sacher is an elegant place, which besides the delicious coffee, offers wonderful pastries and chocolate cakes. Valier is a highly acclaimed place, which won the “Golden Coffee Bean” prize in 1999. Another original café is Café Central, which offers live piano and tango music on Sundays. The deserts here have a great reputation, and the café also has a rich collection of newspapers.
Innsbruck Casino, the largest in Austria, must be mentioned. Formal wear is necessary, the jacket being required. You can play roulette, Black Jack and try your luck at the slot machines.
