One of the major attractions in Bangkok is the Grand Palace which has the Buddha statue made of emerald called Wat Phra Kaew. You cannot afford to miss this place when in Bangkok. The place is an architectural bliss. You can admire the beauty of the Palace but cannot take photographs of it. Just adjacent to the Grand Palace is one of the oldest temples called Wat Pho which was built by King Rama I about two centuries ago. It is famous for the huge gold plated reclining statue of Buddha.
