by As extent, the city of Mangalia is the second black Sea's spa, having an ancient age. It was set up by the Greek people and its initial name was know as „Callatis”. It is situated at a 0-(to)10 m altitude in the county of Constanta at only 11 km distance from Vama Veche, frontier point to Bulgaria and a 44 km distance from the city of Constanta.
Being a balneary and climatic spa, with a mild climate, such as the mediteraneean one, known for its natural factors of therapy: mineral waters, mezothermals: sulphur waters, chlorine waters, bicarbonate, sodium, calcium, magnesium waters, less bromined and iodined waters, the seaside's water, sapropelic mud(taken from the Techirgiohl Lake), a rich saline and aerosolic atmosphere, a stimulatory bioclimate sea, this spa represents a high interest among all world's turists.
