by Alba Iulia is a nice city in Transilvania. It's very important regarding the historical sights. What I've visited and I was impresed about, when I was in Alba Iulia was the cathedral located in the center of the city.
You should also the Orthodox Cathedral and the pretty famous and beautiful wooden church, what is a special thing in Romania and this particular example of it is very beautiful. Sometimes they let you in and you can buy postcards and Orthodox souvenirs in the inside or right next to the church. These are sold by nuns and the money goes for the maintainance of the church.
