by Our ship stopped near the old center of Szentendre. Of course here are the most of the souvenir shops of the town :) Many of the tourists stop here and buy something... there are hand-made things, paintings, old photos, postcards and of course many other things too which are totally useless, they just buy them to spend money...
The old city center is not too big. No cars can enter this part of the city which is a very good thing. There are nice buildings, little shops and narrow streets.
Here we found two shops which I can recommend you. If you are at the central square of the city you will see the sign which is on picture 11. 'Langos' is a kind of pancake which can be served with sugar, but mostly with sour cream and cheese. It's really delicious :)
The other shop is a chocolate shop. If you follow the signs which are leading to the train station you will see this little shop on your right. You have to go down a few steps to enter. It's a little place full of different kinds of chocolates, coffee and tea.
We also walked a bit on the 'Duna korzo' which is a street near the Danube river.

Furthermore, the Margit Kovács Museum displaying ceramic works, the Art Mill, the Serbian Orthodox Museum, the Doll Museum – and the list could go on – are all worth visiting. You also have to see the Greek-Orthodox Blagovestenska church, built in Baroque-Rococo style, which is the most renowned of the nine churches in Szentendre. The House of Prisoner Ráby cannot be missed either, a Baroque styled house whose once tenant and his story were the inspiration for the great Hungarian writer Mór Jókai to write his famous novel Rab Ráby on.
