I used to visit Debrecen quite a lot with my parents but we always came here for shopping, not for sightseeing, so I saw very few thing of this city.

The main street in Debrecen was totally renewed some years ago. Now only people are allowed to walk there and also the tram goes on this way. They also planted many flowers and little trees, and two or three new fountains were built.

On both sides of this main street there are shops. Some of them have quite good prices. This main street is not like the one in Athens where you can find shops with incredibly high prices.

At the end of this street is a nice yellow chuch. We didn't go inside it but my parents said it's beautiful and you can go up in the tower too (yes, they left me home and they went sightseeing when I wasn't with them:p).

Very close to the church is the Debrecen Plaza which is one of the two big shopping centers in Debrecen. The other, called the Forum, is at about 5 minutes walk from the Plaza :)
