For the more curious ones there are several museums around the city that contains ancient artifacts that would surely leave impressions. The Theophilos Museum, otherwise known as the House of Kontos, is a stone built Noble House, which was built according to Greek folk architecture. The upper floor of the house is decorated with hall paintings of the renowned folk painter Theothilos Chatzimichael. In addition, the home of the historian Kitsos Markis, which displays the works of Theophilos Christopoulos and Byzantine artifacts, is opens to the public.
