by The Archeological Museum of Volos is really great, exhibits include items from the Trojan War as well. Several of the oldest factory buildings changed function and became schools or museums, like the Silk Museum and Museum of Industrial Archeology.
Maybe the factories make it appear a little unfriendly but Volos is very pleasant and the people are very kind and helpful.

However, the most notable museum in this city is the Archeological Museum of Volos which houses an array of ancient jewelries household utensils and agricultural tools which date back to the Neolithic period. There are also extensive artifacts from the Geometric period, Classical Early Christian and Byzantine periods.
