Probably the main point of atraction when you visit Greece capital, Athens, may by the Acropolis where the visitors can see the Parthenon. The Acropolis has become during the time a Greek simbol. It is situated in the center of Athens, at the height of 180 m from the sea level. It was biult in the 5th century before Christ during the times of Pericle.

The Parthenon was built in doric architectural style and it was a temple build for Atena Partenos Goddess. The building hosted the statue made in gold of this Goddess, wich was 15m in height but the statue is not present nowdays in the temple anymore, it is said that it disapeared. The Parthenon was used during the time for diferent kind of things, first of all it was a temple than it was a bazaar, it was used also like repository for arms, but nowdays it is opened for visitors becoming the main point of atraction in Athens.

Another monument that can be visited in Acropolis is the Erehtion Temple wich was build for Atena Goddess and for Poseidon God who was the god of see in the greeks culture. The Erehtion Temple is built in ionic architectural style.
