New York Travel Guide, New York
New York City Overview
New York City is a place of great diversity and culture. You can literally smell it in the streets. Walking through the streets can let you forget that you are still in the US sometimes. The Pizza seems more Italian, the wine seems more French and when tasting the great food in China Town you certainly understand what New York is all about with its 20,000 restaurants. If you are just out to shop around, get ready and dive in, you can get anything from fake Gucci Jeans to the real Louis Vitton bags, a little pricier of course. While visiting New York, make sure you also go check out the great range of museums, they got them for pretty much any field. Also try to catch one of the musicals, it well worth it.New York city districts
The island of Manhattan is the epicenter of New York life. It is surrounded by four other distinct city boroughs - the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. Where Staten Island is also the home to the Statue of Liberty and was once the first arrival point for all immigrants coming to the US.Surrounding the epicenter, there is Soho lined with the finest art galleries and up market designer couture and Greenwich Village packed with cafes, shops and bars grouped around Washington Square Park, also home of New York University. With the Upper East Side as the hub of the greatest concentration of cultural centers also known as the Museum Mile, and it only seems fit that no other than the Metropolitan Museum of Art would be located here.
What to see
Chrysler Building What else? You can't surpass the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Central Park, Wall Street, Times Square, catch a Broadway show, and naturally the World Trade Center site. If you ever need some time to relax, go visit one of the many parks in the city.Getting around
You will definitely not need a car in fact you should never go to the city by car. Parking can be super expensive so that even cabs will be much cheaper. If you want to see New York as it is, you should be prepared to walk a lot. We recommend that you start somewhere around the Southern tip of Manhattan and then making your way up North past Wall Street, Tribecca, China Town, Soho etc. If you ever become tired, simply catch a subway train to take you to literally any part of the city.Best times to visit New York
New York is always great to visit. Every season holds some unique attractions that tourists can enjoy. Christmas time is unique and very European, but also a great time for bargain hunters, while the summer months are more enjoyable for tourists looking to walk around a lot in the city.It doesn't really matter what you do or where you go in New York because the city itself jumps at you and delivers an exhilarating experience. New York really does have something for everyone. The remarkable thing is that New York looks even better in person, but let's go ahead anyways and exclaim, 'It's just like in the movies!'.

Peter Luger is a great place to visit, when going to New York. It's in Brooklyn so it's a bit out of the way. Steaks come as large as you want them and the quality is excellent.
