History, art and culture; that is what museums are all about. For an understanding of Korea and its background the National Museum of Korea is definitely the best. It offers various kinds of information on both history and culture and has really interesting exhibitions.

Except for the Special Exhibitions, the Main Hall and the Children's Museum is free, though you have to take a ticket for it. And try to go on Wednesdays, because the museum is open longer that day.

Address:
135 Seobinggo-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, 140-026, Korea

Price:
Main Exhibit Hall and the Children's Museum is free.

Opening Hours:
Open every day, except Monday. Visit the website for detailed info.
