Beaches are naturally free and they are very good in San Diego. Some of them are especially beautiful. I would very much recommend La Jolla and Ocean Beach, they are really special, especially La Jolla.

There are a lot of parks in the city and around it. They are very good for biking, hiking, walk tours and stuff like that.

If California, than it's roller coasters. At Belmont beachfront amusement park you can have unlimited roller coaster rides and another 9 rides on other things for a good price. (from $14 to $20 - depending on your height)

Price:
Free or cheap.
