If you go towards Lesser Town from Charles bridge, you will see Kampa Island on the left side. It is bordered by Vltava on one side and on the other one by Devil's Stream, a small artificial creek.

Kampa is much more tranquil than the other parts of the city filled with tourists. There are three old mills on the island as well as English style parks. It's my favorite off-the-beaten-path place in Prague and it's also free.

Address:
Kampa Island, Na Kampě 512/11, 110 00 Prague-Malá Strana, Czech Republic

Price:
Free.

Due to this, since the fall of Communism in 1989, Prague has become a major tourist attraction, bolstering the city’s economy. [...]
