Oakland History

If you look carefully, the history of Oakland goes back to 150 years before the place was even founded. Initially, the place had been inhabited by the Native Americans for something around 5000 years before the Spanish spotted the region. Though it was 1770, when the Spanish first cited this place, it took them more than 50 years to move over and be settled. Much later came several people from different parts of the world to flock at Oakland during the period of the Gold Rush incident, which had taken the place by storm in a matter of few months.
