About 25 km South of the center of Mexico City you will find Xochimilco. It is a canal system with large and colorfully decorated boats floating on the water. The boats are for fun and not for transport primarily. You can get on a boat and enjoy the landscape for as long as you want.

There are also boast that sell Mexican food and drinks from taco to enchiladas. The atmosphere is great and people are really nice.

If you have enough money and like Mexican music, you can also hire a mariachi band right there! We just enjoyed the music coming from other boats. :PReply
