Visiting Ashland: The Henry Clay Estate just for the exterior of the house and the grounds around it would have been worth a trip for me. The house itself is still beautiful though it has been around for centuries. Inside there are about 18 rooms which are presented to you if you take a guided tour. It lasts only an house and you get a closer glimpse of the way this important man, who shaped the history horse racing and of the US, lived.

Try to go early when there aren't many people and if you go during autumn, you will see how beautiful the grounds around the house become, marveling in every color.
