Operating since 1909, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the most famous raceway in the world. Three major events are organized throughout the year there, including the Indy 500 racing event, when the place is packed with people.

In off-racing season, tours are organized on the raceway in the Hall of Fame Museum which includes everything that has to do with speed, racing and race-cars. It is an interesting museum for those who are not into speed too.

Indianapolis History

When the Civil War began, more than 18,000 souls were living in Indianapolis, which played an important role in the war due to the local ammunition plant.
