Herman Park is in the heart of Houston and it's a perfect spot for a sunny afternoon. In the center of the park there is a lake with benches on the shore and the Japanese garden - which is part of the park - is a beautiful walking place.

The coolest thing is maybe the Miller Outdoor Theater with various evening shows during the summer. The shows are free, but the number of places is limited, so you better go get a ticket early in the afternoon and then have a picnic in the park while waiting for the show to begin.

There is also a train going around inside Herman Park. We have a very nice ride with it and a great day in general. :)

Address:
6201 Hermann Park Dr, Houston, TX 77030, USA

Price:
Free.

Opening Hours:
Park from 6 AM to 11 PM
Japanese garden from 6 AM to 9 PM
Both every day.
