What is even more amazing and totally unique about Sacromonte are the the Gipsy's caves - yes, caves in the rock of the mountain. They have no doors or windows sometimes. There is a museum here now displaying the old way of life, it is fabulous, actually, how these people lived here is these self-made caves.
You might easily get lost on the way up, so ask for the locals help or get a map. Or you can take a bus from Plaza Nueva that comes up here.
