Faisalabad History

The city of Faisalabad can be found in Punjab province in Pakistan. It was previously recognized as Lyallpur. In Pakistan, Faisalabad is considered to be the 3rd largest town. In 2006, it has an estimated total population of 2.6 million in the town proper. Way back 1998; the whole district had around 5.4 million inhabitants. The Faisalabad district city is bounded by Sheikhupura and Gujranwala districts at the north, Toba Tek Singh in south, Jhang at the west and Sahiwal in the east. It has become a part of the ancient district of Sandalbar and Jhang. A part of the 50 square kilometer is mainly consisted with wild tribes and thick forests. [...]
