I am partly Hungarian so it was a great thing for me to see a Hungarian restaurant in Cleveland. I had to get inside and try their food out, I was wondering if it tasted as good as back in Hungary. I wasn't disappointed. Balaton Restaurant earned its praise, they serve excellent dishes of traditional Hungarian cuisine. You just have to go and try it out, otherwise you wouldn't believe its is that good!

They have a wide variety of specialties, dishes that are totally Hungarian so just give them a try for a couple of days and try everything out. You won't be disappointed! :)

The portions are huge and the food is the best Hungarian food I've ever tasted outside Hungary. You must try the potato pancakes, the breaded pork chops and a bottle of Tokaji wine.

Prices are very much acceptable and the staff real nice, it's like you go to an old friend you haven't seen in a long time. Totally recommended!Reply

I think only the bread you get in Balaton is worth a longer trip to the restaurant, not even mentioning the wonderful main courses. My absolute favorites are the wiener schnitzel and the stuffed cabbages - this one a family favorite! :)
Order the dobos torte for a dessert, it's amazing!Reply
