The best way to visit Bruges is ... on foot. Of course, I recommend also to take a boat through the superb canals, but rather than that only on foot. Anyhow, cars are forbidden in the center, so what's the point? The Center is astonishingly beautiful, no wonder that it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. For extravagants there a possibility to visit Bruges ... in a horse drawn carriage. It's perfect for anyone who still feels romantic.
