Situated along the Rio Grande this nature reserve seeks to reverse the decline of the bosque wetlands.  It is run by the Valencia Soil & Water Conservation District.  There's a visitor's center that doubles as a classroom for educational programs and guest speakers.  There are paths around the wetland pond.  If you want to get in touch with nature and/or learn about the diverse bosque wildlife this is the place for you.  Bring your camera, but not your pets.   The website has access instructions for when the gates are closed.
