Casa Mila may sound more familiar to everyone by the name La Pedrera. It is Antoni Gaudi, the famous Spanish architect's most famous work.

It is a beautiful building constructed of natural stone and having very interesting shapes - trademarks of Gaudi.

There are concerts, exhibitions, galleries and museums inside Casa Mila all the time, some of them are even free, so it's always great to visit it if you are around.

My favorite part of the house are the balconies that are curved to shape plants.

Address:
Passeig de Gràcia, 92, 08008 Barcelona, Spain

I adore Gaudi's art. La Pedrera is amazing, I love the walls that look like waves, the columns that are curved like trunks of trees and everything else, you must see it.Reply

Barcelona is also home to Cacao Sampaka, the famous chocolate factory, and also has a chocolate museum. Beware of street vendors and people offering games played on boards, especially in the old city area and on the pedestrian walkways, as they are usually out to hoodwink tourists. Get a Barcelona Card if you plan to visit more than a few museums. Barcelona has a good bus network, and bicycles are [...]
