Though it is quite a small zoo, the animals and plants you can see here are all from the region and those of you who wouldn't have enough time to explore the neighborhoods in search of wild animals in their natural habitats, the Alaska Zoo is the perfect place to go as an alternate destination. Kids love feeding the animals, or just looking at them how they eat and interact with each other.

During summer you can also take the zoo shuttle which departs from downtown Anchorage and its totally free. (donations accepted)

Address:
4731 O'Malley Rd, Anchorage, AK 99507, USA

Price:
