Congo, Travel Guide – What to Do/ Visit
You can begin your adventure even right from the moment of your landing in the exotic city of Kinshasa. The International Airport of Kinshasa or N´Djili International Airport (FIH) is located at only 15 miles southeast of the capital. You should reserve a car in advance so that when you get there, somebody will be waiting for you to take you to at the hotel. After take making yourself comfortable, you can begin your trip from the day of your arrival.
As you will still feel very tired, you can start you visit with a relaxing shopping day at the market place – The Grand Marché. Here you will encounter a big bazaar with everything your heart desires, from vegetables and fruits to presents to take home to your dear ones. Some other places that are worth visiting are: the tomb of former president of Congo, the zoo, the marketplace of the train station, the Boboto center and the art symphony.
In the next few days you can rent a car and visit the capital’s surroundings, such as Chutes de Lukia, where you can spend an entire day enjoying the delicious dishes served at the local restaurant. You can also play with the orphan chimps in Bonobo and swim in the natural lakes you can find here. This experiences will make your stay unforgettable.
