There is also the San Antonio Missions National Park that you can visit, which is where 4 Spanish frontier missions are preserved. The missions were part of a system of colonies that stretched over the southwest from the 17th century to the 19th century. It contains several cultural sites, as well as some natural ones. The area covers around 819 acres of land and was founded in 1978. The San Antonio Zoological Gardens and Aquarium is a fun place to see as well.
