The Austin city ballet company will delight you with their annual rendering of the Nutcracker. Classic and contemporary ballet is available in their spring season. Your children would love to see the Austin City Youth Ballet’s version of Aladdin. The governor’s mansion is a sight to behold. Since 1856, all sitting governors have resided there, but you have to call ahead as governors can cancel tours if something important comes up. There is also the tower at the University of Texas.
