If you’re living in a corner of the planet where winters can be harsh or rainy, chances are that you’re not overly fond of the cold season, and even if you are not averse to snow every now and then, it’s possible that after a month or two of subzero temperatures all you want is a bit of warm sunshine.
Luckily, no matter how awful the weather is in your part of the world, there will always be a place where it feels like summer, and where you can get rid of the winter blues by enjoying clear blue skies and weather that allows you to wear something other than winter coats. For a summery escape, visit one of the warm travel destinations for winter months!
Anguilla, Leeward Islands
This small Caribbean island is a British Overseas territory that enjoys much better winter weather than the UK. The island is not large, but is has some of the finest beaches in the Caribbean, and in winter it becomes a popular destination for those running from the snow as well as those who like it for its tax-haven status. Although not as famous as other Caribbean beach-paradises, Anguilla is quite exclusive so you had better save up for it!
Cuba
Cuba is one of the most fascinating places in the Caribbean – an extraordinary mix of communist past (as well as present), Afro-Caribbean culture and Spanish colonial architecture.
Get your fill of cigars, rum, beaches and dance on the beats of salsa, but don’t waste your time in an isolated resort. Instead, immerse yourself in Cuban culture in Havana or a smaller town and get to know the country properly.
Miami, USA
The sky is rarely clouded in Florida, or at least that’s how it seems for a traveler who makes his or her winter escape in this huge metropolitan area. Apart from the countless attractions of the city (historical, cultural and entertainment venues), don’t forget about the beaches. Although the water might be too cold for swimming in winter, it will be sunny and there will be plenty of people enjoying the outdoors.

For budget travelers who has no intention on squandering their savings on tropical luxury resorts, Thailand is a great alternative: beaches, natural attractions, great cuisine and active nightlife, all for the fraction of the cost.
Thailand has long been a favorite with backpackers, so if you don’t mind sleeping in hostels, eating delicious street food and living some great adventures, then Thailand is the place to catch some winter rays.
Eypt
In the wake of the revolution, Egypt has become a very affordable travel destination and it is eager to regain as much of its former tourist base as possible. Accommodation and even travel costs are fit for moderate budgets, and the pyramids, the temples and the souks are just as magical and mysterious as ever before.

I think Bali, Indonesia can also be one good option. I heard that their beaches there are also good. I’ve also heard some beaches/islands in the Philippines.
