  • Top 10 best family vacation spots

School has started a month ago, and I remember that about this time, back in my childhood, I was starting to get really sick of all the studying, and I really just wanted a vacation. Well, if you have kids, you probably know that they need a little bit of fun in order to function well, so why not devote a weekend to a family trip somewhere?

We know how difficult it can be to choose a holiday destination where all the family can have fun, from young kids to grandparents. So to help you, we’ve compiled a list of the ten best family holiday destinations that can help you with the planning.

    1. Orlando, Florida

Orlando is the theme park capital of the world, and your kids (as well as the child in you) will not get bored for even one second. The offer is very varied: in addition to the already traditional Disney World and Universal Studios, there’s also the fascinating Discovery Cove, Magical Midway (a paradise for those who like thrill rides and go carts), Disney’s super hi-tech Epcot theme park and the newest addition to the list, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

    2. Mayan Riviera, Mexico

As opposed to the boisterous Cancun, Riviera Maya has lost of activities that all the family can enjoy together. In addition to lounging at the beach and building sandcastles, you can also visit loads of Mayan ruins and an eco-theme park. Snorkeling is very popular thanks to the amazing coral reefs around the beaches.

    3. Williamsburg, Virginia

Want your kids to do something educational and fun at the same time? You can teach them more about US history at Colonial Williamsburg, where hundreds of actors portray the day to day life of the American people just before the Revolution. And in summer, you can splash around at Water Country USA, one of the best waterparks in the country.

    4. Yellowstone National Park

It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve been here before, Yellowstone never loses its charm. Hiking, trekking or simply sightseeing are fun activities to do together with your family, especially if the kids are interested in nature. Bring a guide book with you and tell them interesting facts about what they see around them – it will surely make the trip even more interesting for them.

    5. Hawaii

The best thing about Hawaii is that it doesn’t cater to only one category of tourists. You can lie on the beach, go clubbing, sample the local cuisine, visit cultural attractions and take nature tours in practically the same place. You can take surf lessons together with your kids, go boating and see the dolphins, or explore the natural wonders of the islands.

    6. Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts

Martha’s Vineyard is a well known vacation spot, but while it might seem adult-oriented (that is, more boring stuff to do) than a place where kids can have fun. However, there are quite a few places where your kids will be delighted to go: Waters of the World Aquarium, where they can pet stingrays and sharks, or the scenic bike tours.

    7. Hershey, Pennsylvania

Hershey is known as the chocolate town in the US, so it wont’ take much to convince your kids to go. Chocolate is one of those treats that are enjoyable to children as much as for adults, so a visit to Hershey’s Chocolate Factory will probably be a lot of fun for the whole family.

    8. Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is one of the world’s premiere cultural destinations, but most of the activities you can do in Barcelona are apparently adult-oriented. Many kids don’t have the patience to visit museums, but if your children are slightly older, a trip at Barcelona’s major cultural attractions will surely appeal to them. Explore the city on foot, and then relax at the nearby sandy beaches.

    9. Munich, Germany

Munich represents the perfect balance between education and fun, and while your kids will probably not enjoy the palaces of Mad King Ludwig as much as you, they will have the time of their lives at the Deutsches Museum, especially if they are little science geeks.

    10. Venice, Italy

In Italy, you surely won’t have to worry about your kid’s appetite, after all, what kid doesn’t like pizza, pasta and ice-cream? Venice is exciting and interesting enough to keep them happy, and you’ll have the chance to visit some cultural attractions as well.

The important thing is that you know what you both like in common and that you make every moment memorable. To catch up with what’s happening in each others’ lives is also sweet. To be in a very beautiful and relaxing environment would be nice such as spending time fishing, hiking or going long walks.
