Summer is a good season to get married, especially if you are planning a long honeymoon in a faraway destination. Since you don’t get all that many honeymoons in your lifetime, it’s only fitting to make it unforgettable, and the easiest way to have a memorable vacation is to find a memorable destination.

Asia, with all its natural beauty, fascinating cultures and countries, and some utterly amazing holiday resorts is one of the most obvious choices for a honeymoon, but where exactly to go? Here’s a list of the best honeymoon destinations in Asia, for those who are planning their first post-wedding vacation!

Thailand

It’s enough to think of places like Phuket or Chiang Mai, and Thailand instantly becomes a strong candidate for the top of the list. Basically, if your plans run more along the lines of lounging on the beach and sipping cocktails, scuba diving, sailing or surfing, then you should head to Phuket.

If you prefer cultural activities like visiting museums and temples, night bazaars and parks, then Phuket will be an excellent choice of destination.

Japan

Japan is another destination that should appeal to almost everyone, because it offers such a huge variety of sights and activities. You can get lost in modern cities and see lie rush by while nibbling on a plate of sushi, watch the colorful spectacle of the streets and parks, or retreat to a small traditional inn and soak in a hot spring.

Vietnam

Philippines

The fact that there are countless honeymoon packages to the Philippines should be reason enough to convince you that it is a great honeymoon destination. No matter how you are planning to travel to the Philippines, there are several places which are incredibly romantic and would be a shame to miss: Boracay with its white beaches, the colonial city of Vigan, or the 2000 year old rice terraces of Banaue.

Great site and nice post!

I´ve been travelling a lot in Asia as it is my favourite continent and as my honeymoon destination I will choose India as it is such an amazing place. Probably Jaisalmer in Rajhastan state or Hampi in Karnataka would be my choice.
