    The Chattanooga Choo Choo

When you are traveling, you always have to make compromises. Most of us work full time jobs, and only a lucky few of the great traveling community can earn a living out of their travels. So when you’re traveling, you can’t help but neglect some destinations which are completely amazing, and which would deserve more attention.

But when it comes to choosing a travel destinations, you often base your decision on word-of-mouth. If someone says a place is good, then it must be good. But what about the places that nobody talks about? So in today’s post, we’re going to present you some great travel destinations that are sadly under-appreciated.

    Chattanooga, USA

Chattanooga was made famous by the Glenn Miller song, Chattanooga Choo Choo, but as far as tourism is concerned it isn’t exactly popular. However, there are dozens of historical sites near and in the city (several battles were fought around Chattanooga during the American Civil War), and many parks and monuments commemorate important historical events.

Other very interesting attractions include the Rock City Gardens, featuring enchanting walking trails, a suspension bridge and a waterfall. Don’t forget to visit the Chattanooga Choo Choo itself, that is, the impressive Terminal Station that inspired the jazz song. The Choo Choo Holiday Inn is now over 100 years old, and it is a perfect place to stay if you decide to visit Chattanooga.

    Dominica

Dominica is the last Caribbean island to be colonized by the Europeans, and while many people overlook it in favour of other, better known Caribbean islands, Dominica is a truly great place. The rainforests are amazing (and if you want to really experience them, we recommend that you stay at a rainforest villa), and the beaches are very nice and not crowded at all.

Champagne, a snorkeling area south of Roseau, offers a unique experience: there is some mild geothermal activity under the water, so bubbles constantly come to the surface, hence the name. There are countless hiking trails around the island, ranging from very easy to insanely difficult – and hiking is the best way to get to know this amazing island.

    Willamette Valley, USA

Willamette Valley is a region in Oregon, and it is home to the state’s Wine Country. Three of Oregon’s largest cities are located in Willamette, and while they are nice, the highlights of Willamette are the many historical inns and cottages which dot the beautiful landscape.

If you want a romantic holiday, you can find a cozy, secluded cottage in Willamette and enjoy the outdoors with your significant other. The biking trails around Willamette River are also very scenic.

    Hue, Vietnam

Some people visit Vietnam and stick to places like Saigon, Hanoi and Halong Bay. These are all nice places, but off the beaten path, you can find many other interesting places in Vietnam. Take Hue, for example, the imperial capital of the country.

The Citadel of Hue was the home of the Royal Family for many generations, and although it was almost completely destroyed during the Tet Offensive of 1968, it has been restored. The Tombs of the Emperors along the Perfume River are one of the biggest attractions o Hue, and you can reach the place easily by bike.

    Zambia

If you want to visit parts of Africa, Zambia is a great choice because it is less unspoiled by tourism like some other countries, and it can offer a very interesting cultural experience. It has some of the best wildlife parks in Africa, and if you want to go on a Safari, there’s no better place for it then Zambia. There are several luxury chalets and inns popping up in Zambia, but there are plenty of opportunities to experience the ‘real’ country too.
