  • Best Surprise Trips for your Dad on Father’s Day

    Dublin, Ireland

Mothers are not the only parents who havw their own special celebration. Now, it’s the turn of the fathers to be celebrated – the third Sunday of June is coming soon, to be more precise. As a counterpart to Mother’s Day, Father’s Day was first celebrated in 1907, and since the 30’s, it’s customary to offer fathers of any age gifts on this day.

So if you want to give your dad the most amazing present he could think of, why don’t you surprise him with a trip? There are plenty of travel destinations that would make a great destination for a father and daughter/son trip, so here are the best surprise trips for your dad on Father’s Day.

    Dublin, Ireland

Dublin is one of those great cities that are not exaggeratedly large and crowded even if they are capitals – plus it has plenty of historical attractions to placate even the strictest father. And if your dad is the laid back kind of guy, he will surely appreciate Dublin’s many pubs where you can retreat after a day of sightseeing to have a Guinness, a slice of shepherd’s pie and watch a hurling game.

    Las Vegas, Nevada

We’re not suggesting to take your dad gambling to a casino (although you can surely do that if you think he’ll like it), but to one of the many excellent golf clubs in and around Sin City.

From themed golf clubs with fancy names and even fancier courses to the regular, stylish fare, it’s up to you. Golfing can be fun for beginners too, especially if you want some quiet time outdoors to bond with your father.

    Montego Bay, Jamaica

If you want a relaxing exotic vacation that will allow you to lounge on the beach, play cards with your father or explore, Montego Bay is just the thing for you. There are hiking and biking opportunities, beautiful beaches, theme parks and some really great golf courses. Since Montego Bay is a popular destination, keep an eye out for flight deals.

    Bermuda

If your father has nothing against water and boats in general, why not treat him to a cruise to Bermuda? Norwegian Cruse Line regularly has deals for its Caribbean cruises, so it’s worth checking out.

There will be plenty of things to do on the cruise, from shopping, lazing around, swimming in the pool to sampling the restaurants and enjoying the cruise’s entertainment programmes.

    Barcelona, Spain

For those dads who are culturally inclined, a trip to Barcelona will be perfect for satisfying any intellectual cravings. Starting with amazing museums, Gaudi’s architecture and more galleries than one can possibly visit during one trip, Barcelona doesn’t lack any activities for tourists.
