  • Australian roadtrips that you should take before you die

Australia is probably one of the most fun holiday destinations in the world, and it’s not only because of the kangaroos. Australia is the perfect mix of beautiful scenery, amazing places, quaint little towns, bustling cities and beaches, so every trip you take to Downunder is bound to be filled with excitement.

But considering the sheer size of Australia, staying in one place for the entire trip would mean that you’re missing out on a lot of stuff. So if you want to see as much as possible of the country, take a road trip. Here is our list of the top Australian roadtrips that you should take before you die.

    The Savannah Way

The Savannah Way is the ultimate Australian adventure road trip, that will take you from Broome in West Australia to Cairns in Queensland, over almost 3500 miles. The Savannah Way is more than a long drive through savannas, of course, because it is an eccentric mix of natural wonders, national parks, historic roads, and Outback towns. The country is quite rugged and wild, so it’s best to have a four-wheel drive.

    Red Center Way

No trip to Australia is complete without seeing the breath-taking beauty of Uluru, and if it’s your first time visiting the area, a roadtrip is the best way to do it. When it comes to exploring the natural wonders of Australia, such as Uluru, Kings Canyon, or the West MacDonnell Ranges, it’s best to proceed at your own pace. Start your trip at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and end it at Alice Springs.

    Binns Track

Australia is huge, and it has many places that are less known than they deserve. If you want to see some of the overlooked attractions of Australia, take the Binns Track, an epic journey through the Northern territory. This road trip will cover almost 2200 miles, starting from Mount Dare on the South Australian border,  to Timber Creek near Kununurra.

The highlights of the journey include Alice Springs, Tennent Creek, the Simpson Desert, Davenport Ranges National Park and Gregory National Park.

    Explorer’s Way

This is the way that the famous explorer John McDouall Stuart took in the 19th century, back when Australia was still pretty much undiscovered. This trip will take you from the red sands of the Outback to the lushness of the Northern Territory, while passing by some of the most interesting natural landmarks of the country: Devils Marbles, Litchfield National Park, Nitmuluk National Park, Cutta Cutta Caves and Bitter Springs.

    The Nature’s Way

The name of this drive says it all: it is a week long exploration of the amazing natural beauties of the Northern Territories, the lushest part of Australia.

You will be able to see no less than three World Heritage Sites (Kakadu National Park, Litchfield National Park and Nitmiluk National Park), from tropical Darwin to Katherine.
