The country has beautiful beaches and resorts all over its coastline, but note that the most popular places with the largest resorts are Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, as Terrenas and Santo Domingo but there are a lot more places with amazing beaches and great hotels of all brands and types.

Whatever Dominican Republic travel deals you have in mind to book, you should be wise to check the prices of similar deals as well. When to travel to the Dominican Republic

The country has got two different periods of high travel season through the year, one includes the summer months of July and August. The other is between December and late February, when summer heat had cooled down a little but the climate is still very pleasant. During these months all resorts and beaches are filled with tourists coming mostly from the United States and Canada.

If you are willing to date your vacation to spring or fall months, you will be able to book much easier and for less as only a few people choose low travel season to travel. Beaches and resorts are a lot less crowded and you will not have to stay in lines for an ice cream or cocktail.

If you are planning to visit the Dominican Republic, you have to keep in mind that the country is located in the heart of the hurricane belt of the Caribbean. Hurricane season is peaking in August and September, but storms can appear in the previous or following months as well. If you visit during hurricane season, you should follow weather forecasts while there.
