Salzburg
Salzburg is the storybook of Austria. Standing beside the fast-flowing Salzach River, your gaze is raised inch by inch to the Altstadt’s mosaic of graceful domes and spires, the formidable cliff-top fortress and the mountains beyond. The view never disappoints and interestingly it never fails you.
I think that this amazing place, Salzburg is Austria’s best city. It is full of history, and though I visited other important cities like Vienna and Graz and they are beautiful on their own way, none of them rivals the charm and beauty of Salzburg. Every moment I enjoyed in Salzburg, even if you wonder around the streets, you always have a beautiful view of something, a thing that flabbergasted me the most.
The town has managed to preserve an extraordinarily rich urban fabric, developed over the period from the Middle Ages to the 19th century when it was a city-state ruled by a prince-archbishop. The city lies near the German border, it’s about an hour drive from Munich and 3 hour drive from Vienna.

Top 10 movie-inspired travel destinations
How does one usually choose their travel destination? Well, budget and time are certainly an issue, and some people like to sit down in front of a map and just pick the unlikeliest place. Or maybe you see a documentary about a place and you decide to visit it. But let’s face it, when it comes to TV, it’s movies that we watch most of the time.
