Krakow, The Old Royal Residence
The Renaissance architectural masterpiece of Krakow is a charm on its own
It was such an honor for me to see Krakow with my own eyes. I always wanted to visit this place cause I was aware of the fact that Krakow is exceptionally beautiful even before I went there. I consider this city to be one of Central/Eastern Europe’s best, and if you travel in the nearby future, I strongly recommend to visit Krakow as soon and as thoroughly as possible.
Hour after hour, a harsh and bugle sound can be heard from the tower of St Mary’s Basilica and then it suddenly stops. At the Rynek Glowni cafe, situated on the square of the old town is worth a visit. Krakow is not only the “Slavic Rome” but also the “Citadel of Legends”.
Here you will find more than 100 churches and monasteries, nuns that have faces reminding us of Virgin Mary and numerous people who worship everyday in one of Krakow’s churches.

Backpacking Europe: Party-Goer’s Guide to European Cities
As part of our “Backpacking Europe” series we’ve so far seen what a backpacker can visit and where he/she could spend the night for little money. Backpacking can be quite a demanding activity, but this is no reason to abandon any plans of going out and spend most of the night sleeping; you risk depriving yourself from all the fun and possible friends that are usually part of such an experience!
Europe is not all about art and historical monuments: there are many party people who are traveling all around Europe in search for the best nightlife just as there are cities whose bars and clubs have become their biggest attraction. Many of you might find today’s list to be quite predictable, but omitting the following cities from such an article would be an unforgivable sin: …

Hidden Krakow
If it hadn’t been for the infamous rivalry between Poland’s old (Krakow) and new (Warsaw) capital, maybe tourists will be more likely to only visit one of these fascinating cities.
The truth is that, if you ignore what both the Warsaw natives and Krakow natives say about each other, you’ll discover that Krakow and Warsaw represent two equally interesting aspects of the same culture. As mesmerizing as Warsaw can get due to its sky-scrappers and big-city lifestyle, it cannon compete with Krakow’s architecture and youthful atmosphere (just like Krakow lacks this progressive look).
However, as Krakow represents our main concern today, we’ll try to focus on those aspects that make Krakow particularly charming. …
