For people who don’t live near the seaside, going to the beach is all about experiencing a different environment that doesn’t follow the usual rhythm of life. When you’re in the shade of a palm tree, feeling the breeze and listening to the sound of waves, life seems to slow down.
Beach resorts are havens of peace even when you spend your time there in an active way, by playing sports, going snorkeling or attending parties. There are probably lots of islands called (officially or unofficially) Paradise Island on the planet, but probably none of them deserve their name more the Paradise Island in Bahamas.
This island is made only more perfect by the exquisite Ocean Club, which can boast of a transplanted medieval Augustinian monastery, villas, golf and fine dining.

Copacabana Palace looks like a cake draped in whipped cream and it clashes in a very interesting way with the generally laidback Copacabana beach. The hotel is right on the beach, of which it has its own hefty slice equipped with umbrellas, towels, beach chairs and cocktails on demand.

This amazing resort is sandwiched between the jungle and the pristine Malaysian beach, and instead of standing out like a sore thing it does its best to blend in with its beautiful natural environment.
The main building of the hotel is surrounded by scores of small villas for those in search of some solitude, connected to the hotel through open air paths through the jungle.
