Tudi in Fun and Travel | NO COMMENTSPopular Children-Friendly Destinations Across the USA
Traveling with children is equally fun and demanding. Kids won’t always dig upscale restaurants or interminable museum visits, so if you are planning a family vacation this summer, you have to make sure that you also include some children friendly attractions. Of course, this doesn’t necessarily imply that you are stuck with Anaheim or Orlando; most US cities and national parks also have a children-friendly side – all you need is some little research. This is why today’s post is merely a teaser:
Williamsburg, Virginia
A trip to Colonial Williamsburg is like an encounter with history itself. Williamsburg could easily be called the Williamsburg experience, as this historic city is far more than an open air museum: this is the perfect place to watch impressive reenactments, workshops and reproductions and get a taste of colonial America.
Denver, Colorado
Those with taste for the great outdoors won’t regret spending a couple of days in Denver, no matter how irresistible the urge to hike along Colorado’s scenic trails. With its famous Zoo, Dinosaur Ridge, Aquarium and Butterfly Pavilion, Denver resembles a living encyclopedia. You can even find a Children’s Museum, Dolls and Toys Museum and Miniature Museum.
Sacramento, California
Sacramento is obviously not the first choice when traveling to California, but taking out children along will let you discover a whole new side of the Golden State’s Cap-City. A tour of Sacramento’s historic monuments and downtown can be quite instructive. For small infants, you could also try the Funderland, Fairytale Land, Zoo or Gibson Ranch Park.
Washington, DC
If patriotism won’t dictate that it is time for a visit to the Capital, then the free museums and attractions might just do the trick. Kids will spend hours just gazing at the famous collections of the Smithsonian, and there are high chances that even adults will develop a fascination with such interesting attractions like the Air and Space Museum or Spy Museum.
Hershey Park, Pennsylvania
Developed by America’s most famous chocolate brand, Hershey, PA is every chocolate lover’s dream came true. Self-titled as ‘The Sweetest Place On Earth’, the park offers the most various attractions, from history of chocolate tours to museums, spa centers, gardens and sports.
