Amazing Earth: Trinidad and Tobago
I’m not one to say that colonialism was a good thing, historically and culturally speaking, but in the case of Trinidad and Tobago, I’m tempted to change my opinion just a little bit. After all, this island paradise would not have existed as we know it without the influence of the Spanish, British and French colonialists. The twin nation of Trinidad and Tobago embraces an amazing cultural diversity, which makes it unique even among its sister Caribbean states with whom it shares a similar history.
Trinidad and Tobago are the birthplace of the calypso and soca music, and of the limbo dance, and the spring Carnival could easily compete with the likes of the Rio Carnival. Discover Trinidad and Tobago, one of the most amazing places on earth. …

Amazing Earth: Tasmania
Just try to imagine traveling the same distance like between Los Angeles and Denver in one direction and reaching the shores of Antarctica, while if turn the other way and go for 300 miles, you will find one of the most arid deserts in the world. Here, between the hot Australian desert and the frozen wilderness of the South Pole lies one of the most interesting islands in the world: Tasmania.
Many of you might have heard about this small Australian state named Tasmania from the famous cartoon depicting a Tasmanian devil named Taz. Although this endemic animal is for Tasmania just what the kangaroo is for Australia or the kiwi for New Zealand, its proverbial ferocity is just one small aspect of the island’s amazingly rich wildlife. During today’s post, we will try to focus one some of the aspects that make Tasmania such a an amazing place.

Man-Made Wonders of the Modern World
Many times during our travels we discover some places and buildings that seem to belong to another age. And by this I don’t necessarily want to imply that they don’t belong there, just that some human constructions are so remarkable and unique, that it’s hard to focus on anything else in their presence. Without any further introduction, here come 5 modern man-made wonders: …

Amazing Earth – Seychelles Islands
The Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean are amongst those rare locations where nature is so beautiful and diverse and the sensation that you have reached paradise so strong, that I might take the first time traveler a couple of days to adjust to the high beauty standards of the place.
Each of the 115 islands that are part of the Seychelles archipelago represent a universe of its own. Among these, Mahé (also the administrative, economical and cultural region of the country), Praslin and La Digue are the most popular destinations, and concentrate a big part of the island’s attractions. …
