The capital of Hungary, Budapest, is a city doesn’t actually require a lot of information. A simple panoramic picture of Budapest is enough to determine you to pack your bags and take the first plane there. Take a boat ride on the Danube

A trip on the river might as well be the starting point of your trip. Not only you get the chance to admire the Budapest skyline, the Baroque palaces and beautiful bridges in their full splendor, but you can also listen to the tour guide’s description and decide what you want to visit. There are nice quays along the Danube, several islands, and let’s not forget that the Danube is where everything started. When people started building bridges over the Danube and reunite the two historic cities of Buda and Pest, a magnificent new city was born.

Go underground

By going underground I don’t mean take the subway (although it is a fast and reliable way to go around), but try to visit the vine cellars in the 22 district. You will be amazed by this labyrinth of cellars, filled with most renowned Hungarian wines. You can visit the cellars for free and join a series of concerts and wine tasting sessions during the Budafok Champagne and Wines Festival.
