Summer is coming and there are a lot of people already preparing for a holiday on the beach. If you like lively beaches with crowds and noise and seemingly never-ending parties, you won’t have any trouble finding the perfect holiday spot.
However, if you feel like relaxing in a quieter place but you still don’t want to miss out on the swimming and sunbathing, all is not lost – there are lots of secluded beaches where you can take a break for daily life. Whether you’re going with friends, loved ones or a good book as company, there are many hidden beaches for summer travel where you can have your dream holiday.
Anna Maria Island, Florida

Unlike other Florida beaches, Anna Maria has escaped the clutch of condo buildings and five star hotels, and it still feels like an abandoned beach from time to time.
That doesn’t mean that there’s anything wrong with Anna Maria, on the contrary. You can stay in little vacation homes, eat in beachfront restaurants and enjoy a beach that looks like it hadn’t changed in the past 40 years.
San Mateo County, California
San Mateo County is not on the itinerary of many people, as most people prefer to skip to San Francisco or the wine region. However, it’s a real pity not checking out San Mateo, which has an astounding coastline with lots of small towns scattered over it.
The beaches at Halfmoon Bay or Priceton by the Sea are real gems that haven’t properly been discovered yet – all the better for those looking for solitude.
Kaihalulu, Hawaii
Kaihalulu is beautiful, for sure, but it so so secluded and difficult to find that people tend to choose other beaches over it. The red tinted sand of Kaihalulu are usually enjoyed only by those who don’t mind descending the rocky path to the beach, but the rewards are really something amazing: deep red sand against a crystal clear blue lagoon.
Orient Beach State Park, New York

It might seem like a futile project to find a secluded beach in New York, but althouth Long Island’s beaches are usually filled with crowds, but Orient Beach Park can offer you some quiet and privacy anyway.
The beach has enough amenities to satisfy even the most fussy visitors, but it is still wonderfully deserted most of the time. In addition to that, the forest around the beach are a great place for a hike.

Roque Bluffs is one of the most secluded beaches in the US because it’s so difficult to get there. Although you have to walk through blueberry barrens and wildrose thickets, the beach has several facilities, and a very nice kettle pond, a beach with small pebbles and a rather chilly sea.
