When people talk about their favorite hotels, airport hotels rarely make the list. These hotels are usually places where you stay because you don’t have a choice, for example if your flight was delayed or if you want to catch a wink of sleep during a long layover.

But although airport hotels don’t conjure up any great memories for many travelers, there are some airports in the world which can boast of some seriously amazing hotels which are downright better than what you might find in the city.
